The article considers the role of small-scale business in the economy of Russia on the basis of statistics data. It describes basic problems of small-scale enterprises and their causes. The authors offer a system of characteristics of the smallscale enterprises distinguishing them from large-scale ones. The article explains the necessity of integration processes development among small-scale enterprises.
